FY10 Budget Update July 14, 2009

Please be advised that on Monday, July 13, 2009 the Board of School Committee voted unanimously not to change the District’s transportation policy to increase the eligibility requirement to 2 miles and not to discontinue transportation for high school students for the upcoming school year. However, there may be some changes to bus stops. Parents will be notified of bus stop changes prior to the start of the school year.

Student school bus tickets will be available for purchase in the high school office area at a cost of $8.50 per 10 ride ticket. If paying by check, please make payable to the Manchester School District.

Students riding the Manchester Transit Authority buses can purchase their ticket from the bus driver or online at www.mtabus.com.

Students will be allowed to ride Yellow High School Buses free of charge on Tuesday (9/1), Wednesday (9/2), Thursday (9/3), and Friday (9/4) to allow for the purchase of tickets. This does not apply to MTA transit buses.

Fares will be charged beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2009. All students boarding the bus must present their ticket to the driver.
