MSD works in collaboration with our community partners to align behavioral health initiatives, leverage and maximize resources, and coordinate professional development for school staff and community partners. Integrating community partners in our school setting increases access to services for students and families. This builds capacity while working together toward a shared framework (MTSS-B).

City of Manchester Health Department

AH

The MTSS-B Framework is a Public Health Model. The District will identify areas of need across the District based on school and community public health data. This supports decision making with allocation of funding, resources, and training for schools.

“The City of Manchester Health Department looks forward to our continued partnership with the Manchester School District in improving the lives and health of our community’s most important asset, our children. This public health approach will undoubtedly benefit generations to come.” ~Anna Thomas, Public Health Director

Amoskeag Health

AH

Amoskeag Health has provided integrated Behavioral Health Counseling services in the District's schools for many years. They currently serve students in 14 of the District's schools and will integrate their Behavioral Health Counselors into the MTSS-B framework, coordinating behavioral health interventions for students with other members of a school's intervention team.

"We are excited about our ongoing collaboration on student behavioral health through MTSS-B. By working together, we are committed to fostering a supportive and positive environment that addresses the diverse needs of our students, ensuring they have the resources and support to thrive both academically and emotionally." ~Stacey Beeley, Director of Integrated Health

Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester

mhcgm

The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester (MHCGM) is working in collaboration with the District through two Federal grants to increase access to trauma interventions and counseling services in the schools. Bounce Back (trauma intervention) is currently offered in 4 of the Elementary schools and Licensed Mental Health Clinicians are integrated in the District's High Schools. The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester has been a collaborative partner with the school district since 2014.

“We are so very happy and proud to be a continued partner with the Manchester School District.  These collaborations reflect the District's priority to support student mental health with increased opportunities to access trained professionals in the school setting.” ~Marla Severn LICSW Coordinator, Intake Team

Office of Youth Services

oys

The Office of Youth Services (OYS) is supporting the MTSS-B framework by increasing access to emotion regulation interventions in the Middle Schools. Take Control is an evidenced-based intervention delivered over a 10 week period to support youth with managing their emotions and re-shape how they respond to conflict. OYS is also offering Future Success Leadership Academy for students interested in growing as leaders and need support to build on strengths while working toward success. In addition, OYS provides Male and Female Empowerment Groups at the high schools, offering targeted support to help youth develop self-esteem, navigate relationships, and set personal goals. OYS offers support services in both middle and high schools, addressing individual needs and offering consistent mentorship and guidance. The formation of a Youth Council, with representation from each high school across the District, serves as a critical component to the Project AWARE grant as the Youth Advisory panel.

"We are excited about our ongoing collaboration and partnership with the Manchester School District through MTSS-B. Through this collaboration, OYS is committed to addressing the mental health and wellness needs of students across the district by providing one-on-one support and targeted programming." ~Michael Quigley, Office of Youth Services Director

City Year

oys
