MANCHESTER – This month Southside Middle School was able to provide its students in Grades 5-8 with a unique educational experience through Marek Bennett's artist residency.
Phuong Lai-Matzker, an art teacher at Southside Middle School, arranged this residency through a generous grant by the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. Marek Bennett is a comic artist known for his engaging graphic narratives and educational comics.
This collaboration not only enriched the students' learning but also fostered creativity and artistic expression within the whole Southside community. Grants like these play a crucial role in supporting arts education in Manchester.
