We are excited to invite you to a special open house for our school district's new modular buildings at McLaughlin Middle School next Thursday, August 29. Interested families, students, staff and community members can get a first look at the new learning space during two blocks of time on Thursday: 10 am-noon and 5-7 pm. District staff and project staff will be on site to answer questions during the open house. While this open house is located at McLaughlin, it is open to all. We are excited to show off these new buildings and we hope you’ll join us next Thursday at McLaughlin.
About the modular buildings: The new modular buildings are part of Manchester School District’s long-term facilities projects. As part of “priority one” work, we have closed Henry Wilson Elementary School, and we will build a new elementary school at Beech Street. In addition, we will complete renovations and additions to all four middle schools. This summer, modular buildings have been placed at all four middle schools as well as Beech Street and McDonough Elementary Schools. The modular buildings will both accommodate additional students and provide swing space during construction work in the coming years.
