MANCHESTER – On Thursday, two students received diplomas as graduates of our Manchester Adult High School program.
During a special ceremony at City Hall with Mayor Jay Ruais and Superintendent Jennifer Chmiel in attendance, Karina Rivera and Sanche Ramirez officially received their high school diplomas. Both joined the program earlier this year and completed their three remaining courses – an outstanding accomplishment.
Here is what Karina and Sanche had to say after the ceremony:
Sanche Ramirez
"I joined the adult education program because I wanted to continue my education and open up new opportunities. This program gave me the support and flexibility I needed, and the guidance received from everyone helped keep me motivated and made it possible for me to graduate. Now that I've finished, I'm looking into career options such as cyber security and hope to continue my education in that specific field. I'm excited to see what's next, and I'm extremely grateful for the support this program has given me."
Karina Rivera
"I'm a 27 year old single mom of 2 amazing boys. I came to the Manchester Adult High School because I needed to do my schooling online, and I'm more of an auditory and visual learner so I knew this school was the best for me. Everyone here at the school has supported me through every step of the way and were always positive. My goal now is to get into a Medical Assistant Program to be an MA."
