MANCHESTER – Manchester Community College has selected Michelle McGee, of Manchester School of Technology, as Early College Advocate of the Year for 2025.

Early College at Your High School – formerly known as Running Start – is a program of the Community College System of New Hampshire. It operates at all 7 CCSNH campuses, and each has selected an advocate of the year. McGee teaches an Early College course at MST, and said she was truly honored to be recognized as MCC’s Early College Advocate.

“As a native of Manchester, I have a special place in my heart for the Queen City and our students,” McGee said. “My commitment to awareness of early college courses at MCC is one way I can help my hometown remain competitive and my students find fulfilling careers."

Early College At Your High School is a concurrent enrollment program, meaning that courses in the program allow high school students to earn college credits while also completing requirements for high school graduation. Students in grades 10, 11 and 12 can participate in the courses.

“We are grateful for the continued partnership with MCC to provide additional higher level learning opportunities for our students,” said Assistant Superintendent Nicole Doherty. “Mrs. McGee is highly invested in opening up new career and college pathways for students, and this award is a great recognition of that. We are extremely proud of her and thankful for her continued dedication.”

McGee will receive her award in a ceremony at the State House on May 7, which will include a recognition by Gov. Kelly Ayotte. You can read more about the Early College at Your High School program here: ccsnh.edu
