Students will take the iReady diagnostic over the next three weeks. The assessment adapts its questions to suit each child's needs based on their previous answers. This helps teachers provide better academic support and increase learning gains.
To help your child succeed in their assessment, it's important to encourage them to give their best effort so that the results accurately reflect their abilities. Your child's performance in these assessments will play a crucial role in their academic progress. Therefore, it's important that they get enough sleep and eat a healthy breakfast before school or at school at 8:00 am. Let's work together to assist your child in achieving their full potential.
Our school's data team has provided an encouragement card in your child's green communication folder before vacation. Please take a few minutes to write down an encouraging message and send the card back to school on Monday. Your child will be delighted to read your inspiring words and it will motivate them to do their best in their upcoming assessments. If you don't have the encouragement card, don't worry, you can simply write a few lines on a piece of paper and send it back in the green folder. |

Starting this week, students will be able to enjoy a fresh fruit or vegetable snack during the school day through the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP). This program is federally assisted and completely free, providing children with the opportunity to try new and different varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables. The goal of the program is to help children become more familiar with fresh produce and to increase their overall acceptance and consumption of unprocessed fruits and vegetables. |

Winner of the December Challenge!Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Marshall's 3rd grade class are the winners of the December attendance award. Throughout the month of December they only had one unexcused absence! |
January's Show Up Class CompetitionFor the month of January, the class with the least amount of unexcused absences will win the competition along with an award. However, we also know that your child's health should always come first. That's why we urge you to keep your child at home if they are unwell. Remember, if your child has a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, they need to stay home until they are free of symptoms for 24 hours without medication. Please let us know if your child is staying home by calling or emailing the school's office so we can excuse their absence. It's important for us to make sure that your child is in a safe and healthy environment at school. We take your child's education and well-being seriously, and we want to ensure they have the best experience possible. |
Missing School: It Adds Up!When your child attends school regularly and on time, they have the opportunity to excel academically and to establish a positive daily routine for learning.
Regular attendance allows for students to be involved in lessons, develop relationships with their peers, and make the most out of their education. It also gives the teacher the opportunity to assess each student and effectively plan ahead.
Excessive absences can lead to students missing out on important information or falling behind in their learning. Regular school attendance is an important indicator of your child's performance and success as they grow. Simply put, absences add up. |

Students can buy a bag of freshly popped popcorn for only 50 cents every Wednesday as a snack. Popcorn orders are taken during attendance in the morning, so students need to arrive on time to place their order. Each student is limited to two bags. A big thank you to our dedicated parent volunteers who make this treat possible!
