Thank you to all the parents and students who joined us today at the Meet and Greet event on the playground. It was fantastic to see so many familiar and new faces coming together to kick off the new school year. We can sense the excitement and enthusiasm in the air! We are eagerly anticipating the start of school tomorrow morning and are confident that it's going to be a fantastic first day. Here's to an incredible and memorable school year ahead!
The doors to the cafeteria will open at 8:00 a.m. for students who need breakfast. All teachers will be on the playground at 8:15 a.m. for the first week of school to greet their students. Classes will head into the building at 8:30 a.m. to start the day. The gates around the playground are locked from 8:30 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. every afternoon. The same area where you meet the teacher in the morning is where students will be dismissed in the afternoon. During dismissal, please allow the teacher and all the students to get to the dismissal spot before picking up your child. It is important for the teacher to be able to acknowledge each student as they leave so we can ensure everyone gets home safely. The diagram on the right shows where each grade level will meet.

As we prepare for former Wilson students and current Beech Street walkers, the Manchester School District wants to emphasize the importance of walker safety for all of us. The district has stationed crossing guards at key locations to ensure safe passage and facilitate crossing of major roads. We encourage you to instruct your child to use the identified crossings where crossing guards are present. Refer to the provided map for guidance. Use the map to educate your children on the preferred route to walk to school, and remind them to utilize the crossing guard supervised intersections. Crossing guards are located at the following locations to assist students walking to school: Beech and Lake Ave Beech and Spruce Street Beech and Auburn Street Maple and Auburn Street Beech and Green Street Beech and Valley Street Maple and Valley Street |

We understand that as a parent, you may have specific concerns about your child's education and well-being. However, during student pickup, our teachers need to focus on ensuring a safe departure for all students with their families. We also respect the privacy of our students and their families, and therefore, we do not hold personal conversations about a student during this time. If you're interested in helping out with classroom preparation, supervising during lunch, or organizing games at recess, please contact Mrs. Wheeler at the office to participate. We appreciate any extra help!
We are looking for two or three volunteers to pop and bag popcorn on Wednesdays. Our previous volunteers, who have been with us for the past two years, have moved on to middle school. Wednesday popcorn days are highly anticipated by our students, and it would be wonderful to consistently offer them this treat each week.
